I live in beautiful and rural southern Tennessee. I grew up on my parents' cotton farm, but went to law school to get an inside gig. Now I have a solo general practice, but am passionate about child welfare and children's rights. I'm so crazy about children I adopted one. She is four, and now smarter than me thirty percent of the time. My husband and I get a babysitter fairly often.
I am interested in implementing social psychology into services for parents, children, foster families and adoptive families in the rural south.

Description
To the legal layperson, parents and children in the child welfare system appear to demonstrate negatively applied principles of social psychology. A corollary of that should provide that parents and children in the child welfare system can successfully transition from the child welfare system with positively and appropriately applied social psychology, whether through reunification, adoption or other permanency options. I seek to participate in proving, tweaking, and implementing social psychology techniques to this end.
