I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Delhi since 2016. I completed PhD from the School of Psychology & Neuroscience, University of St Andrews, Scotland, UK under the supervision of Professor Stephen Reicher. I serve on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Social Psychology, the Asian Journal of Social Psychology, and the Journal of Social & Political Psychology and as Book Review Editor of Psychological Studies.
My primary research interests include group processes and intergroup relations, particularly intergroup humiliation; prejudice, leadership; political rhetoric and collective mobilisation; social psychology of caste; stigma and wellbeing among marginalised groups. I use multiple quantitative (survey, experiments) and qualitative (thematic analysis, discourse analysis) methods for a deeper examination of issues/problems.
