Hello! My name’s Alex Wutzke and I’m an 18 year old from Chicago. Currently, I’m playing junior hockey for the Jersey Hitmen of the USPHL, but next year I will be attending the University of Michigan as a Sport Management major. If you couldn’t tell, I really enjoy sports, and outside of hockey, I also play baseball, football, tennis, golf, ping pong, and basketball at varying levels of skill and recreation.
Outside of sports, I love nature, my pets (2 dogs named Hershey and Gordie and 3 cats named Hazel, Sonny, and Jasmine), hanging out with friends, video games (mainly Minecraft), and really anything that seems fun to me.
In the future, I have goals of becoming a GM or other team leader in order to both help grow the team and the surrounding community. I think the connective ability of sports on a community is incredibly powerful, and using that to help uplift, inspire, and create change for those, especially in at-risk or impoverished areas is incredibly important towards both maintaining and growing communities in the future. To me and many others, athletes are our real life superheroes and the inspiration they bring has the power to change so many lives.
