I am a trained Pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology – seems something rather exotic in this network.
Since about 20y I am active in the pharmaceutical commercial field. We are developing and marketing innovative medicines in various therapeutic areas.
I am German (from the side of my mother) and Greek (from the side of my father) - I lived and worked in both countries.
So, why am I interested in Social Psychology?
There are two reasons.
One is related to my job
My Colleagues and I are constantly dealing with questions like:
- How make people decisions about their health?
- How can patients be more engaged with their condition?
- How do physicians choose the right treatment for each patient?
Our experience is that pure data and information do not drive change.
Social psychology may give some help on how to answer the questions above. It may provide a different way, outside of our professional box, to look into the world and answer those questions.

The second reason is rather connected to my personality:
I am curious, I like to understand how thinks work and I always try to provide a different perspective. I am fascinated by the diversity in the world around us. My job enables me to interact with multiple countries, cultures and markets: We are living and working under very diverse conditions and still we are acting very similar.
