

Mikko Salminen, M.A.
I graduated from Leiden University in 2010 (MA thesis: Dí'zte, o zapoteco de San Agustín Loxicha, Oaxaca, México', a grammatical description of a Southern Zapotec language). I am currently conducting field research for my PhD thesis on Huave, a Meso-American isolate language. My interests in linguistics lie mainly in the fields of descriptive linguistics, anthropological linguistics, dialectology, language contact and code switching. Furthermore, I am starting a new degree in social psychology and psychology. My interests are broad: discourse analysis, Lacanian theory, psychoanalysis, philosophy of mind and semiotics of culture, cognition and language.
