Mr. Rudra Nayan Das
I am a graduate student in NCBS, Bangalore (India), studying neuro-ethology using the vinegar fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system. I look at how serotonin modulates olfactory driven behaviors in these animals. My work aims to link development of neural circuits to the behavior in mature animals.
I keep a track on the scientific literature on neuroscience of different aspects of social psychology especially decision making. I am also looking for post doctoral opportunities in field of fMRI imaging based studies of human or non human primate behavior. Given the transition from my current field of work, I am open to work as an intern for a short term as well.

Description
I am interested in post doctoral positions in research related to human or non human primates' behavioral neuroscience. I am currently working on a insect model to understand neuromodulation in olfactory system. My work involves functional imaging from Drosophila melanogaster brain and genetics of neuronal development. Given the gap in my current research and my next aims, I am willing to undergo a short internship before taking a full fledged post doctoral post
