The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, moves on.
I am (about to be) a final-year undergraduate student in Electronic and Computer Engineering & Biomedical Engineering, studying in Yingcai Experimental School, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Before that, I attended Wanzhou No. 2 High School. I am now looking for a graduate school to continue my research in Cognitive/Computational Neuroscience, or other areas related to the understanding of human brain.
While being an engineering major (Always engineering! computer, electrical and biomedical), Psychology (or in a broader sense, cognitive science) has been my long-time fascination. It's just intriguing to uncover the brain functional mechanisms accompanying (or accompanied by, depending on your philosophy ) various human behaviors. I have taken and am taking research positions in several labs more or less relevant to this field.
Though I haven't find a final say, My current RI involves analyzing the roles of amygdala, frontal cortex and mirror neuron networks in social cognition and emotion by utilizing various fMRI-based paradigms.I’m also interested in investigating the altered functional connectivity in patients with Neurological/Psychiatric disorders with Resting State fMRI analyzing techniques.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching Japanese animations/manga, listening to Jazz, and playing World of Tanks.
