Hello, my name is Peter (in my passport it says Petrus, but people hardly use that name). I am originally from The Netherlands - I grew up in a small village not far from the German border, where my father still lives.

I studied Economics and after several years working for an audit firm in Rotterdam, in 2003 I tested my luck and moved abroad, starting to work for a pharmaceutical company in Switzerland.

From Switzerland I moved to Russia, where I met my wife. Together we moved to Ukraine, where our daughter was born. Then back to Russia, where our son was born. In 2016 our family moved back to Switzerland, a place we all meanwhile consider "home".

In 2021 the opportunity came to live and work in Germany - we took it and we are still here. We like it and enjoy the Bavarian lifestyle. But if you ask me, I believe that eventually we will settle down in Switzerland.

In our free time we spend most time together as family, particularly travelling - especially trips to the mountains, skiing during winter time. Myself I also spend quite some time running, cycling and swimming. My wife likes to knit (and she makes beautiful pieces!) while the kids - no surprise - are enthusiastic "gamers". For my son, playing soccer is another big hobby. For my daughter, this is learning to play piano.

Why I am registered here? Because I am trying to find out whether psychology is something I would like to learn more about. I am currently participating in the Social Psychology course offered by Wesleyan University via Coursera - and find it super interesting! :-)
