Learn and get excited!

In my normal life I work with one of the most exciting company worldwide - Google - specifically on bringing the online advertising world to a functioning life for some of the world's largest brands.
My journey to this position started with a B.A. in Commerce and Chinese for which I relocated to Ireland from Germany. I chose this topic of study as I'd never done Business nor Chinese and love to challenge myself and learn new concepts about our world.
As part of this B.A. I also spent one year in China which was a truly great experience - and in hindsight is becoming even more interesting now that I'm starting to learn more about social psychology.
Having spent years away from my home country I now often find myself turning corners and experiencing two very different cultures within my own perception. I find it repeatedly fascinating how two European cultures can be so profoundly different.

The Social Psychology Coursera Course is my first academic touch point with the field. I have however been interested in the field of psychology for quite some time and with this online course I have finally found a spring board to dive into the world of psychology much deeper than the occasional article.

Alongside my current work, I have gathered experience with psychometric questionnaires, starting my interest in psychological behaviors and in particular communication preferences. I have worked with both MBTI and Insights but have myself developed trainings based on the Insights profiles that were created for my wider team.
I have found Insights in particular to be a startling accurate test on people's different styles of behavior, preferences in communication and in general as a tool for a better understanding and collaboration at work.

In addition to working with psychoanalyses tests like Insights Discovery, I have branched out into the wider area of people development within my company. I regularly facilitate courses on how to give and receive feedback, how to build a better brand online and on how to use the design thinking process to create innovation. The latter in particular I facilitate internally as well as externally to clients and agencies.

As you might have guessed from my above introduction I am an individual with a wide range of interest and an open and eager mind for new things. My recurring theme is that I love to learn and challenge myself, achieve audacious goals and really enjoy working with people in enabling them to do the same.
