I am an Englishman but live in Norway with my Norwegian wife, two children and five grandchildren. I studied environmental engineering in England and practiced as a consulting engineer in England and Norway until I retired three years ago at the age of sixty-seven. My interests include history, MOOCs, art and early American music. I am involved with several human rights organisations. I have suffered with social anxiety for several years and individual and group therapy has helped me to better understand and appreciate others, and taught me better to understand and appreciate myself
