Dr. Hugh is a practitioner-scholar with over 30 years of technology implementation experience with global healthcare and high-tech organizations in in the US, Europe and Asia.
Hugh is responsible for the business vision and technology direction for Xavor's Global Age-Tech Incubator which is focused on building preventive home self-care solutions to enhance independent living by detecting and predicting digital biomarkers and symptoms for early physical and mental rehabilitation (AI-enabled preventive geriatrics). He is currently managing the Xavor Shanghai operation chartered with incubating a Care Companion Robot venture for the growing aging population in China and is looking for Healthcare B2B channel and investment partners.
Over the last 10 years he has also taught Design-Driven Innovation & Entrepreneurship at various universities including University of Southern California (USC), Fudan University, Wuhan University, Chongqing University, Beijing Normal University and Peking University. Hugh has a BBA from University of Texas Austin (USA), Executive MBA from University of California at Irvine (California) and Doctorate in Management from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio (USA). In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling and cruising the ocean on his Yacht.
