Today I'm pleased that I recently decided to study part time in subjects related to issues in the world and in my surrounding that have started to worry me more and more. That's the reason I joined among others the course Social Psychology and SPN.

My name is Kent Haglund, and I am happily married. We live in Sweden, two hours north of Stockholm. Together we have two children and two grandchildren. It's wonderful to play with them and to see how they grow.

Aside from doing things together with my wife, like gardening, cross-word, walking in the forest just to relax or to pick berries and mushrooms, I like to learn new subjects and do new things. I'm not afraid to challenge problems I never met before.

20 – 25 years ago I had an opportunity to travel abroad in my work. United States, Mexico, Brazil, India and Japan were some of the countries I visited. I'm glad to have met so many people and experienced that we do not differ from each other when cultural factors are washed away.

I have been working as a Project Manager in my own company for 6 years. Achieved IPMA level C certificate two years ago.
One of my strong sides is that I focus on peoples strengths, good behavior and thoughts instead of their eventually shortcomings. Therefore people find it easy and inspiring to work together with me.

My life has been divided in three periods of 18 years: grown up and schools, technician and engineer, manager and project manager.
Growing concern of environmental matters together with other ideas, made me decide to decrease my work in my company and spend more time in the next period focusing more on environmental matters.

My goals are to focus on sustainable environment issues including subjects as – Energy, food, behavioral science, leadership etc.
By attending MOOC's like Coursera courses to fit my goals is a great opportunity to gain increased knowledge.
I have just started and will continue to contribute hopefully as an eye opener in polarized debates/discussions.

In my role as a leader, my ambition is, whenever I have the opportunity to decide, I will do that in the directions what I have learned and hopefully, even if the contribution is small, this will contribute to a more sustainable world.

Except from this course I have finalized Coursera courses “Climate literacy – Navigating Climate Change Conversartions”, “Sustainability of Food Systems – A global life Cycle Perspective” and have just started the course “Introduction to Sustainability”.
