I was born in the US and grew up in Pennsylvania. On junior year abroad from Smith College to St Andrews.University. I met my husband there and married in 1973. We both became teachers and our careers lasted over three decades. We have two lovely grown up girls and one granddaughter, Matilda.

Now we are retired, I spend my free time reading, singing, gardening and cycling. I have the ideal life. MOOCs have become a favourite past time as I am a fan of lifelong learning. I also practice mindfulness.
