How hard can it be?

I have been a veterinarian for twenty years, fist in my native South Africa and then in Australia. I chose this career due to a love of nature and helping animals, but also due to love for challenge and learning. I have a honours degree in microbiology from the University of the Orange Free State and degree in veterinary studies from the University of Pretoria. I am currently studying for my memberships in a small animal surgery.
I have always been interested in what makes people tick, and working in a highly demanding job, you deal with all the emotions and often conflict.
I am persuing a change in career and while doing Coursera course on Large Marine Ecosystems, I found out about all the other courses on offer and did the team communication and conflict handling course. That let me to currently doing the Social Psychology course, which I am absolutely loving. I want to feel like I have more to contribute to the world at large and thus looking to diversify my career.
When I am not studying I love scuba diving, trail running, swimming, gardening, reading and singing.
I am outgoing but prefer one on one interactions to groups. I can be impulsive in trying new things, as my Tagline suggests. I would often think, “how hard can it be?”, to “what was I thinking?”
