Washington Freire de Araujo

I am a private security professional at a major hospital in Brazil, in São Paulo. I became a professional security guard because I was a martial arts teacher for a long time during my youth. I have a degree in pharmacy and have a special interest in clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical care and attention. This particular interest led me to psychology and how complementary medicines can help improve the quality of occasional allopathic therapies.

My experiences in martial arts and Eastern culture have helped me to have a different, more comprehensive view to understand the nuances of each individual's experiences and their particularities.

In 2012, encouraged by a UN initiative, I developed work with NGOs focusing on underprivileged young students. This experience left a deep impression on me. I currently have plans to develop work for human rights and citizenship for people who do not have access to quality education, technology and the internet.

In my free time, I continue to dedicate myself to martial arts, quality of life, self-improvement and health.
