Saving the world, one lightbulb at a time.

I have a background in Physics and Outdoor Education, mixed with a passion for theatre and music. To my surprise, after graduating with a Masters in Environmental Studies, I discovered the most fascinating part of my sustainability work was figuring out why people do (or don't do) what is best for them.

Now I am learning about social psychology in hopes of applying what I learn to sustainability behaviors at a local level. I spent several years working for Boulder County, Colorado's sustainability programs, trying to convince people that attic insulation is sexy. Now I am living and playing in Jeju, South Korea for 2 years before seeking another sustainability-focused opportunity.

When I'm not teaching myself social psychology online, I love to hike, canoe, play board games, sing, dance, and cook foreign foods.

Description

In the short term, I would be interested in hearing about opportunities to volunteer or participate in telecommuting internship programs from my home in Korea. In summer, 2015, I will move back to the Boulder, CO area and will be seeking full-time employment with an organization committed to public service and environmental sustainability. My ideal role would be consulting on a variety of programs or communications to improve behavior change and action potential in a local community.
