Professional Highlights
Currently, Marie Michaël is the Executive Director of the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad (AMHE). In this capacity, she led the revamping of its operations, spearheaded a movement for its renewal; organized and delivered workshops for the leadership of the Association. She is responsible to implement a three-year Strategic Plan for the renewal effort; she also led the expansion efforts of the AMHE, now registered in Haiti as a non-profit organization which for 43 years has promoted health care and health education on the ground.
Marie Michaël has worked in higher education and the non-profit sector contributing her expertise in business analysis, business development, and technology innovation management. As a technology, systems, and database analyst, she has experience in software selection, configuration, implementation, database systems migration, upgrades, maintenance and management, and users' training. She shepherded various systems projects to successful completion. She is adept at developing systems requirements, mapping functional areas business processes for enterprise-wide applications such as integrated ERP application for students' registration, financial aid, human resources, student records, and financials.
She is also skillful in Project Management and has scoped Enterprise projects, built systems requirements, managed projects lifecycle from initiation to handing off; she prepared budgets and cost analyses. Marie Michaël has experience in general business administration, non-profit management, administration of technology systems, network, web, and help desk services management. She is skillful at managing stakeholder relations, mitigating expectations while maintaining effective communications.
As a small business consultant, she provides consulting services to non-profit, professional organizations, and small businesses in education and early childhood development centers in Washington DC in business operation and technology. She recommends appropriate technology to the pre-K classroom and equipped the center with iPads using instructional Apps for early childhood development. She trains staff and supports the EZ Care database application. She developed a software system to monitor and track students’ immunizations and required health status. She reviews and maintains compliance with government-mandated requirements for early childhood care centers.
She teaches information technology and management as well as career development courses. She has many years of experience working in academic and training services institutions, she is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Academic Database administration.

Marie Michaël earned a Doctor of Management degree from University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Her portfolio includes a Bachelor of Science degree, and an MBA in Information Systems management from Southeastern University. She speaks and writes fluent English, French, and Haitian Creole. She also has intermediate knowledge of Spanish.
