The eldest of 3, I grew up on Cape Cod, one of the best places on earth. I was privileged to be surrounded by beaches and ocean with an large extended family. I had my first 4 children while attaining my Bachelors then settled into being a mom. Now I am the mum of 10, with the youngest about to turn 14. Homeschooling is done and my days are filled with child transport, meal prep and cat rescue.

Helping people is really important to me and I always question why people act the way they do. I really seek a greater understanding of motives and meaning in people's actions and behaviors. Present events have really brought to light flaws in the system and in people's thinking, including my own. I think this is why I have settled on social work, where I feel I can be the most help. Thus, returning to school for an advanced degree is the intention. Having been out of school for many years, I am both nervous and excited. I'm looking forward to learning more as I move from volunteering into a profession.

Interests include, yoga, reading, playing mindless farming games and visiting warm ports.
