I am a Certified Coach Practitioner, a dance teacher, coach and choreographer and a Family Law Clerk.
I joined the Network to broaden my horizons and learn more about social psychology and how I may apply it to all of my clients. Now that we have started the course, I find I can't get enough of it! Unfortunately, finding the time to fit it all in is a challenge.
I am divorced and Mom to one adult son. I am so proud to be a Nan to my 18 month old granddaughter. My wonderful son and beautiful daughter-in-law are expecting their second child in January 2015. Summer is my favorite season; I am drawn to the ocean, lake and love swimming, surfing, water skiing - anything water related. I love Yoga and Pilates, music, dancing, reading and am a hockey fan.
I recently received my Coaching certificate and along with this Coursera course I am also taking certificate courses in Hypnolinguistics and Cognitive Reflex Conditioning. I will be starting my own coaching practice in the fall using positive thinking and re-framing old perceptions to help others achieve their goals and their full potential. I will also be looking for a way of introducing my practice to teenagers in an effort to promote higher self-esteem and resolutions to combat peer pressure and bullying to enable them to make better decisions so that they can achieve their full potential.
Personally I have a lot of life experiences of which I can draw on, including surviving divorce, being a single parent as I raised my son on my own, grieving the passing of both of my parents in a 12 month period, losing 35 pounds and keeping it off for 7 years, running my own business(es), to name a few.
