Adina Cameo
A native New Yorker, a tough yet compassionate broad!
My drive to know more was to see myself outside of myself. Growing up around a certain social and cultural construct there was this inherent sense that these people walking around don't make sense most of the time in their actions and/or behaviour. On a whim and unshakable curiosity I took several Deviance and Criminology courses that confirmed my inner sense. This belief that I was "bad" drew me in and I was driven to find out if this was really the case. What I found out went way beyond my expectations!
A clue to that is in one of Philip Zimbardo's lectures saying, “To be a hero, you have to learn to be a deviant, because you're always going against the conformity of the group.”
