What you are and believe inside will be reflected in your reality.

I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, with my family. I feel really blessed to have been born in this beautiful country because, although it is small, it has all the requirements to be called a paradise. We have a coast, jungle, islands, and highlands where Quito is located. The most important people in my life are my parents, Adriana and Giovanny, and my older brother, Sebastian. They were the reason for who I am and my support to achieve all my goals with proficiency.

I always wanted to help people have a good quality of life, and I have been passionate about science, so after high school, I got a college degree in Clinical Biochemistry Science. I made my professional practice in the pediatric hospital, "Baca Ortiz," the Hospital de la Policia Nacional (National Police Hospital), and the Instituto de Investigación en Zoonosis, CIZ (Institute for Zoonosis Research). Having the opportunity to grow as a professional and as a human. Caring for people with low resources, scared children, and seniors battling for a better quality of life made me realize it's not enough with what we learn in the text books; it's important to be empathetic while taking care of people's feelings and fears.

Although I'm not a native english speaker, I have been practicing English from school to college and I got a special certificate to improve it. That was helpful when I started to work as an Application Analyst in August 2020. With this job experience, I learned about professional responsibility and how to apply my knowledge for the wellness of children, youth, and adults. During my school and high school years, I have always done extra activities such as basketball, tennis, swimming, piano, choro, crafts, dance, and speeches. After college, I kept learning about new topics in my profession and about other interests.

I believe having an equilibrated life is important to me, so just as I spend time learning, I also dedicate time to enjoying dancing Latin music, playing guitar and ukulele, playing tennis, traveling alone or accompanied, meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences, going out with friends or staying at home watching movies or preparing dinner. My family and my friends described me as a very charismatic and responsible woman.

I'm currently living in the U.S. with a host family during my Au Pair program. This experience, although it has been one of the hardest in my life, was also the most enriching. I can clearly see my weaknesses and my strengths. Everything that I was in essence came with me; I got to know myself better, and I made and continue to make decisions to build the best future for myself. So far, I'm proud of myself for achieving this goal.
