Second Call for Papers

Department of Psychology, University of Marburg (Germany)

Detailed information about the conference is posted here:

http://www.uni-marburg.de/fb04/team-wagner/news_events

The deadline for submitting papers is April 15, 2008.

Information about the conference:

The main topic of the 21st Annual Conference of the German Peace Psychology Association will be "Group-Based Aggression and Violence." The aim of this conference is to highlight special forms of violence and aggression like war, gang violence, hooliganism, terrorism or ethnic violence, which are rooted in group-processes. Aggression between individuals is a form of group-based violence if this behaviour is based on and motivated by the opponents’ membership in different groups. With this topic we will intensify the discussion about group-dynamics underlying aggression and violence.

We would like to invite you to the 21st Annual Conference of the German Peace Psychology Association and to submit empirical and theoretical papers from all fields of psychology, sociology, political science and other social sciences, which contribute to the field of group-based aggression and violence or other relevant peace psychological topics. Conference languages are German and English. Thus, papers can be submitted in English (preferred) but also in German language. Submitted papers will be screened with regard to their general appropriateness and grouped with related papers into thematic sessions.

Submission of papers:

All presenters are asked to submit their papers electronically to Jost Stellmacher:

stellmac@staff.uni-marburg.de

until April 15, 2008.

Please add the names of the authors, address of responsible person, title of presentation and a short abstract. We will confirm your registration electronically.

With best regards,
Jost Stellmacher & Ulrich Wagner
