Research Assistant
(Full time - 12 months fixed-term)
Project: Promoting tolerance via multiple classification
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work on a project which is funded by the Leverhulme Trust. This is a 12 month full-time post starting in March 2008.
You will be responsible for recruiting participants, preparing research materials, and carrying out a series of experiments to investigate whether tasks involving categorization along multiple social and non-social dimensions encourages tolerance towards outgroups.
With at least an undergraduate degree in Psychology with BPS accreditation, you will have effective interpersonal and communication skills, and experience of using the statistical package SPSS. A Masters degree in psychological research methods or social psychology is desirable.
