Dear Colleagues:

I invite you to view a new TV program on the National Geographic channel (NGeo.com) -- see local cable listings -- first shown January 9, THE SCIENCE OF EVIL, that will be rerun on Saturday January 12 at 7:00 PM, and again January 23 at 4:00 PM, and March 11 at 4:00 PM.

It is a very well done program that features four segments: fMRI research at Princeton, on brain scans of people resolving moral dilemmas, me discussing the Stanford Prison Experiment and its implications for understanding the process of transformation of good people into perpetrators of evil, another segment on the violence currently erupting in eastern regions of the Congo as TV crew follows a UN Food Bank worker who has to deal with human misery and violence on an unprecedented scale, and finally a minister who baptized mass murderer Jeffrey Dahmer, and its consequences.

Program runs for a full hour.

Ciao,
Phil Zimbardo
