Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to bring this competition to your attention. The General Social Survey (GSS) is a nationally representative interview survey of the United States adult population that has provided data on contemporary American society since 1972.

The Sociology program at NSF expects to make one award in this competition for four years of funding to support the 2010 and 2012 GSS, at an anticipated level of $10,000,000 to $15,000,000.

Please see the NSF website for further details at:

or contact Dr. Patricia White (pwhite@nsf.gov).

Sincerely,
Amber Story
