Research Project Leader

FMG is seeking an intelligent and motivated social scientist needed to work as part of a small organizational research team. Current projects include: (a) design and development of a career exploration website drawing on Person-Environment Fit; (b) field testing a variety of recruitment outreach efforts; and (c) development of a computation model to assist recruiter staffing decisions.

Responsibilities include:
Effectively working as team leader and/or team member in the design, execution, and interpretation of social-psychological field studies; Completing technical reports, presentations, and executive summaries; Coordinating with vendors and contracting organizations in support of project; Providing ad hoc support to associated projects during surge periods; Participating in strategic planning meetings and assisting research managers with development and procurement of future work; Advancing the reputation of organization through participation at professional conferences, publishing of research studies, and continued technical training.

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences, Research Methods, or related field; Experience conducting a variety of data analytic techniques, including mean comparisons, linear and logistic regression, structural equation modeling, and cluster/segmentation analysis; Experience designing a research program or project as the sole or primary investigator, including sampling methodology, analysis, and reporting; Strong verbal and written communications skills; Ability to work effectively independently as a team leader or team member; Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.

Research Internship

FMG is seeking an intelligent and motivated social scientist to support the design, execution, and interpretation of social-psychological field studies. Current projects include: (a) design and development of a career exploration website drawing on Person-Environment Fit; (b) field testing a variety of recruitment outreach efforts; and (c) development of a computation model to assist recruiter staffing decisions.

Responsibilities include:
Conducting literature reviews and background research; Assisting project leaders with the writing, proofreading, and preparation of technical reports and presentation materials; Replicating data analysis to ensure accuracy of technical reports, presentations, and executive summaries; Helping coordinate with vendors and contracting organizations in support of project; Providing ad hoc support to associated projects during surge periods.

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing graduate degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences, Research Methods, or related field; Experience conducting data analytic techniques such as mean comparisons and linear regression, with at least two semesters of graduate level statistics; Experience in all phases of research design, including developing a sampling methodology, analysis, and reporting; Strong verbal and written communications skills; Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member; Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
