Dear colleagues,

Thanks to those of you who replied to my question about the prevalence of Social Stigma courses. People indicated that Social Stigma is being taught at the following schools:

Drew University, McDaniel College, Miami University, Northwestern University, Penn State University, Princeton University, Syracuse University, Tulane University, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Santa Barbara , University of Connecticut, University of Kansas, University of Maine, University of Puget Sound, University of Richmond, University of Rhode Island, University of Virginia, University of Washington, and Whitman College.

In addition, several people reported that they cover stigma in their stereotyping and prejudice courses, and others mentioned that they were considering developing stigma courses.

Undergraduate courses ranged in size from 12-50 students and graduate courses ranged from 6-15 students.

Several people gave me permission to post their stigma syllabi on my web page. These can be found at the following link:

Best,
Cheryl
