 2007 SESP Conference in Chicago
Posted by: John Cacioppo
Title/Position: Professor
School/Organization: University of Chicago
Sent to listserv of: SPSP
Date posted: September 4th, 2007

Dear SPSP Members,

The 2007 SESP conference begins in just over a month, and final preparations are being made to ensure the quality of this year’s event. Folders are stuffed, signs are printed, and menus are selected. Preconferences have posted their final schedules at www.sesp.org/confer.htm, and the Westin has already reserved a number of its rooms.

Chicago is an excellent place to visit in October. The weather is usually pleasant, and the Cubs will hopefully be preparing for the World Series. The SESP web site highlights Chicago’s attractions, many of which are within walking distance of the hotel. Be sure to review the web site’s listed dining options because reservations for Chicago’s finest restaurants should be made in the next couple weeks, and be sure not to miss Saturday night’s event. We will close the 2007 conference at the Shedd Aquarium, enjoying a reception next to dolphins and dining around the 90,000-gallon Caribbean Reef Tank.

Finalize your registration, travel, and Westin hotel room soon. Details can be found on the web site and do not hesitate to email Cacioppo@uchicago.edu if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in Chicago shortly.

John T. Cacioppo
2007 Conference Host
