Please help spread the word about this news resource for local social and behavioral science events in Capital Area of the USA.

APA has agreed to host a LISTSERV list to facilitate communicating to the social and behavioral science communities in the DC, MD, VA, DE, and WV area about local news. This list is is open to anyone who wants to subscribe. Anybody who subscribes can post to it. It is no longer necessary to send notes to CASPA when you want to reach the local community.

To join this list simply post a message to:

listserv@lists.apa.org

Use no subject line. Your message should say only:

subscribe CAPITAL_AREA your name

For example:

subscribe CAPITAL_AREA Dr. Jane A. Dow
or
subscribe CAPITAL_AREA Mr. John Q. Public

If you know about a briefing or hearing on the Hill, a seminar, a meeting, a lecture, a workshop, a job opening, a new book by a local behavioral or social scientist, etc., please feel free to post to the list. Likewise, if you know about news outside the area that focuses on issues that are especially salient in this area, such as (inter)national policy, social issues, human rights, etc.

To post to this list send an email to:

Capital_Area@lists.apa.org

The Capital Area Social Psychological Association (CASPA) has started a practice of co-sponsoring events with other organizations.
