UNIVERSITY OF DENVER: Psychology
3 Open-Rank, Tenure-Line Positions

The University of Denver continues to support growth in the Department of Psychology. Having hired 3 new faculty in the last 3 years, we seek to hire 3 additional faculty. We expect to hire at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, but we will consider filling the positions at any level depending on the qualifications of the applicant.

One position is for a Cognitive or Social Psychologist studying Affective Science; candidates whose research takes an integrative approach or whose work is informed by neuroscience (e.g., imaging, EEG/ERP), psychophysiology, or individual differences are especially of interest. The Child Clinical position is open to all areas, but we are particularly interested in candidates who are working in clinical neuroscience. The Developmental position is focused in biological processes, developmental cognitive neuroscience, or social/emotional development, with a particular interest in candidates whose work is at the intersection of two or more of these areas.

For all positions, the department values candidates whose interests cut across programs. Unifying themes across current programs are developmental cognitive neuroscience, affective science, and developmental psychopathology. Successful applicants should have an outstanding record of research achievement and more senior-level candidates must have an exciting program of externally-funded research. All candidates should have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education.

Candidates must complete an on-line application at https://www.dujobs.org and send a letter of interest, vita, at least three letters of recommendation, and reprints/preprints to Faculty Search Committee, Department of Psychology, University of Denver, Denver CO 80208. Please see our website for further information about the department:

http://www.du.edu/psychology/

We will give priority to applications received by October 24, 2006, but will consider applications until the positions are filled. The University of Denver is committed to enhancing the diversity of its faculty and staff and encourages applications particularly from members of traditionally underrepresented groups.
