STANFORD UNIVERSITY PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT plans to make a tenure-track appointment to begin in the academic year 2007-08. Rank is open. This appointment will be in Social Psychology, broadly construed. Area of specialization is less important than research excellence. Applicants will be expected to teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. All applicants should send a current curriculum vitae (including bibliography), a brief statement of research interests and copies of up to five scholarly papers to the Social Psychology Search Committee, Department of Psychology, Stanford University, Building 420, Stanford, California, 94305-2130. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of reference (junior candidates only) to be sent to the same address. The deadline for application is October 15, 2006, although materials received later will be considered until the positions are filled.
