Posted by: Ayelet Fishbach
Title/Position: Associate Professor of Behavioral Science
School/Organization: University of Chicago
Sent to listserv of: SPSP, SESP
Date posted: August 15th, 2006

The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business is seeking to hire tenure-track faculty with interests in the areas of decision-making, negotiations, social psychology and organizations, all broadly defined. We will consider both beginning salary level Ph.D.s and more experienced candidates with excellent records. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. (or equivalent) or expect to receive a doctorate in the near future. We are looking for candidates with strong disciplinary training in any of the social sciences who can use that discipline background to conduct research on aspects of behavior relevant to management in organizations and to introduce MBA students to behavioral science principles.

This position is part of the Managerial and Organizational Behavior area, whose members are responsible for teaching courses such as Managing in Organizations, Managerial Decision Making, Power and Politics, and Negotiations. Candidates should be qualified to teach at least one of these courses plus another MBA elective. The group has a well-equipped laboratory for experimental research.

We will begin reviewing applications on October 15, 2006, although we will continue to accept applications until the position has been filled. Applications should include a vita, one research paper and two letters of reference. Materials should be sent to:

Deputy Dean for Faculty, M.O.B. Recruiting

Chicago, Illinois 60637

The University of Chicago is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
