The School of Psychology, University of Queensland, Australia, is seeking applications for at least two academics, including at least one Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Level B/C) and one Associate Professor or Professor (Level D/E) in any aspect of social psychology. We intend to make multiple appointments, in order to consolidate existing research strengths in core social psychology and to broaden the scope of teaching and research in the subdiscipline. At least one position may be offered to an academic whose work involves a focus on interpersonal relationships and/or intersects with other subdisciplines including (but not limited to) organisational, developmental, and clinical psychology. The School of Psychology is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia. It is internationally recognised for research strengths across the breadth of psychology.

The successful appointees will be expected to pursue a strong and productive program of research, to contribute to the teaching of social psychology in the School, and to supervise honours and postgraduate research theses in social psychology. Applicants should possess a PhD in social psychology or a related area.

At Academic Level B, the applicant will have an established research track record, excellent teaching skills, and the capacity both to develop a strong and productive research program and to attract postgraduate research students. At Academic Level C, the successful appointee will have a developing international reputation for his or her research in social psychology, have a strong research track record including success in obtaining external research funding, a reputation for high quality teaching, and be an experienced research supervisor.

At Level D, the appointee should have a strong record of research and scholarship in social psychology and considerable experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, research supervision, and academic leadership, and a successful track record of obtaining external research funding. For appointment at the Professorial level (Level E), the applicant will in addition have a well-established international reputation as a research leader in the area.
These are continuing, full-time appointments at Academic Level B, C, D or E, depending on qualifications and experience. The remuneration package will be in the range AU$74,533 to $88,508 per annum (Level B), AU$88,962 to $AU105,277 (Level C), AU$109,936 to $121,116 (Level D), or AU$141,613 (Level E) including 17% employer superannuation contributions.
