CALL FOR PAPERS
2006 APA CONVENTION in New Orleans, LA
August 10 – 13th

**SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DEC 9th**

The 114th Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association will take place in New Orleans, LA from August 10 – 13th, 2006. Division 8 is inviting proposals for posters and symposia from faculty and graduate students for research in any area related to personality and social psychology. Given the conference venue, we particularly invite posters and symposium regarding issues that are directly relevant to events surrounding Hurricane Katrina.

Because there was some delay in confirming New Orleans as the venue, the submission deadline has been extended to December 9, 2005. All proposals must be submitted online at http://www.apa.org/convention06/. Questions can be directed to Toni Schmader, the Division 8 Program Chair, at schmader@u.arizona.edu.

APA has been monitoring the recovery efforts in New Orleans and the Board of Directors recently voted unanimously to keep the convention in the city. More information about the state of recovery in New Orleans can be found at:
