The Psychology Department at Michigan State University seeks to hire a full-time faculty member at the associate or assistant professor level in Social Psychology to begin Sept 2006. Successful candidates must have a strong program of research as well as the ability to contribute to our undergraduate and graduate teaching goals. A history of external grant support is strongly desired in associate-level candidates; assistant-level candidates are expected to have research programs with strong potential for funding. Area of research is open, but we are especially interested in candidates with a specialization in social cognition.

Michigan State University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and applicants from under-represented groups are encouraged. Review of applications will begin Oct 1, 2005 and continue until a suitable candidate is identified. Please send vita, statements of research and teaching interests, and three letters of recommendation to Chair, Social Search Committee, Department of Psychology, Psychology Building, Michigan State University, East Lansing MI 48824-1116.
