 Presidential Election Research?

Dear Colleagues,

NOTE: If you are a member of the SPSP Convention Program Committee, there's really no reason to read further. Otherwise,...

I was wondering whether any of you collected data related to the Presidential election. A grad student (Greg Willard) and I conducted a pre/post-election study, and I thought it might provide a nice theme around which to organize a symposium submission for the next SPSP convention in Palm Springs. The submission deadline is usually sometime in July, so I thought I'd better get on it. Without giving away (or boring you) too much, our study examined changes in predicted election results (hindsight bias), along with changes in self-evaluation and political attitudes (implicit and explicit) as a function of political ideology. So, if you think that you may have something that could mesh with these general themes, please respond to me off-list to discuss the possibilities (r.gramzow@neu.edu).

Sincerely,
Rich Gramzow
