Dear Colleagues,

Tenure Track Position, Assistant Professor of Social Psychology. Ph.D. for fall of 2013 in the area of social psychology is required, postdoctoral experience preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach experimental and social psychology both at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as one or more of the following: statistics, research methods, or personality. Evidence of the promise of teaching excellence and research productivity are required and will be supported by new research space. Candidates should send all materials electronically (cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference), with applicant's last name included in all documents to socialsearchinpsych@wpunj.edu by November 15. William Paterson University is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity. Women, minorities, and members of under-represented groups are encouraged to apply.

William Paterson is located in Wayne, New Jersey -- a suburb twenty miles west of New York City. It is a public university of about 10,000 undergraduates and sits on a wooded 370 acre campus. The average class size is 21 students. The teaching load is a 4:4 (on paper) but an internal grant for research (Assigned Release Time) reduces the teaching load to a 3:3. There are about 750 psychology majors and 20 full time faculty.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Warmly,
Elizabeth
