The appointee will be part of a new three-year research project on “Retributive and restorative justice motives as responses to transgressions”, for which Dr. Michael Wenzel, Prof. Norman Feather (both Flinders University) and Dr. Michael Platow (Australian National University) have recently been granted funding by the Australian Research Council (ARC). From a social psychological perspective, the project will investigate factors and processes that affect people’s notions of how a sense of justice can be re-established after a transgression. The research will have implications for concepts of restorative justice and reconciliation and will contribute to an emerging and exciting area in the psychology of justice.

The Research Associate will (a) work closely with the other investigators of the team in developing the research agenda, (b) help survey and access relevant literature, (c) plan, prepare and conduct empirical studies, (d) analyse data and (e) help document and publish findings.

This position is available immediately for a fixed term of up to 3 years, on a full-time basis.
