LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP FOR 2005-06

Colleagues,

Graduate students who are about to receive the PhD and are interested in pursuing a career in an elite liberal arts college setting may be interested in this 2-3 year post-doctoral fellowship opportunity at Lawrence University (a highly selective undergraduate liberal arts college located in Appleton, Wisconsin). The Psychology Department at Lawrence has outstanding facilities and faculty. We encourage applicants who might wish to collaborate with either me (Peter Glick) or Matt Ansfield, our social psychologists (also, our Clinical person, Jerry Metalsky, has strong interests in social psychology). I would be happy to talk to anyone interested in learning more about this opportunity (email me at glickp@lawrence.edu or call 920 832-6707). You might also wish to visit our departmental homepage: www. lawrence.edu/dept/psychology.

The Lawrence Fellows Program designed for recent PhDs who seek to develop a record of excellence in teaching and research experience in a liberal arts college setting. Initial appointments will be for two years and will involve a reduced teaching load (three courses in the first year and four in the second year) in order for Lawrence Fellows to have time to engage in research. Lawrence also encourages mentoring relationships and teaching and research collaborations between Fellows and faculty. These full-time fellowships will carry a stipend of $32,000-$36,000 per year, plus benefits, and funds to support research, travel, and other initiatives. (Appleton is a very low cost area.)

Interested applicants should send a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation to: Lawrence Fellows Committee, Office of the President, Lawrence University, P.O. Box 599, Appleton, WI 54912. Consideration of applications will begin on March 15, 2005, and continue until the positions are filled. Lawrence University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from women and individuals of diverse backgrounds.
