 Postdoctoral Research Associate Position at WFU

Full-time postdoctoral research position at Wake Forest University starting in January 2012. The position involves working on two major research programs; the Character Project (www.thecharacterproject.com), an innovative multi-disciplinary project examining cutting-edge questions in moral psychology with Profs. William Fleeson, R. Michael Furr and Christian Miller (Philosophy), and a multi-site project led by Dr. Eranda Jayawickreme, Prof. Fleeson and researchers at the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania examining posttraumatic growth and the possibilities for permanent positive personality change in the wake of adversity. These projects are funded by the John Templeton Foundation. Responsibilities include helping with the design of research studies, analyzing existing cross-sectional and longitudinal data sets concerning personality, morality and posttraumatic growth, helping with ongoing data collection efforts, supervising related research activities, dealing with administrative tasks and writing collaborative manuscripts. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in social/personality psychology or a closely related field of psychology, a record of published research, and strong statistical skills, and an interest in personality, morality and/or posttraumatic growth and personality development.
