James H. Davis: A Life Celebration 1932-2010

The Davis family is hosting a memorial celebration of the life and work of James H. Davis, to be held on March 12, 2011, at the Levis Faculty Center (909 West Illinois Street, Urbana, Illinois). There will be a social hour from 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the Atrium, followed by a brief program with remarks from Dave Irwin, Pat Laughlin, and Bob Willerton and opportunities for family and friends to toast and share memories of Jim. A buffet supper will be served.

Written memories will be compiled in a book for the Davis family. Please email Elisabeth Davis at e-davis4@illinois.edu to have your remembrances included.

Those interested in attending should contact Betty at e-davis4@illinois.edu. Those who cannot attend in person may participate virtually over the Internet. If you are interested in this option, contact Norb Kerr at kerr@msu.edu.

A block of rooms under *Davis Memorial* will be available at two locations: I Hotel in Champaign (217-819-5000; when booking online, select "1" for "number of attendees" even if the number of attendees is greater), and the Holiday Inn in Urbana (217-328-7900) at reduced rates until February 12.
