Please note the availability of travel fellowships from the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) for early career scholars and students to attend the 2011 International Conference on Eating Disorders (ICED). Applications are due on November 1.

Student/Early Career Investigator Travel Fellowship Program

The AED anticipates funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and supplementary funding from the AED Scholarship Fund to support travel fellowships for students and early career investigators to attend the AED 2011 ICED in Miami, Florida, USA, April 28 - 30, 2011.

All fellows will be invited to attend a Research Training Day program on April 27, 2011. Led by internationally renowned faculty, the Research Training Day is open by invitation only. In addition, a subset of the travel fellows will be invited to present their research at a special paper session. This will be the 10th year of the Research Teaching Day program and we will mark the occasion with a special luncheon where many of our former fellowship recipients will return to share their success stories.
The travel stipend will cover the registration fee of the conference and support for air or ground transportation and hotel accommodations. The specific amount of travel support to be offered will be based on the applicant’s permissible travel costs. The maximum stipend (including conference registration fee) is US $1,500. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously received a travel fellowship.
