The Society for Personality and Social Psychology announces that the recipient of the 2009 Student Publication Award is N. Pontus Leander of Duke University for the article (co-authored with James Y. Shah and Tanya L. Chartrand), “Moments of weakness: The implicit context dependencies of temptations," published in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Vol. 35, pp. 853-866.
Papers were eligible if the first author was a graduate student at the time of submission and the manuscript was accepted for publication in a society journal by December 31, 2009. A total of 57 papers were eligible this year, and the selection was made by an award committee consisting of Dan Cervone, Duane Wegener (Chair), and Wendy Wood.
