SPSP 2010 is approaching, and so I am sending out the last announcement of the Self Preconference, sponsored by the International Society for Self and Identity (ISSI).
This year's preconference includes three sessions exploring a diverse set of topics related to prejudice and discrimination, social exclusion and inclusion and social embodiment. This year's ISSI early career award goes to Jamie Arndt and its lifetime achievement award is a trio (!), going to Jeff Greenberg, Tom Pyszczynski, and Sheldon Simon, so there will be an interesting emphasis on Terror Management (and of course other topics the recipients choose to discuss). Finally, we will have a tribute to the life and work of Michael Kernis from some of his former friends and colleagues. Registration fees include a continental breakfast, a buffet lunch and coffee and cookie breaks. Registration is closing shortly, so this will be our last call before we convene in Las Vegas!
