 ISJR Award Winners

The International Society for Justice Research (ISJR) wishes to announce the recipients of its 2010 awards: Prof. Dr. Leo Montada and Dr. Aaron Kay.

Prof. Dr. Leo Montada of the University of Trier, Germany, is the recipient of the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award. Leo is the recipient of many previous honours including the Franz Emanuel Weinert Preis of the German Psychological Association and the Max Planck Research Award for international justice research. Leo has long been a tireless promoter of ISJR. He was Founding President of the organization and also served for many years as editor of Social Justice Research. Aside from his own influential work in social justice, Leo has influenced a generation of students and junior faculty through his kind mentoring.

Dr. Aaron Kay, of the University of Waterloo, Canada, is the recipient of the 2010 Early Career Contribution Award. Aaron received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2005. His work on ideology, system justification, and the justice motive is highly regarded and has been published in many prestigious journals and books. Aaron’s contributions have previously been recognized with the Dissertation Award from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, as well as an Early Researcher Award from the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation.
