Dear Personality and Social Psychologists:

We are writing to direct your attention to the 2010 Emotion Pre-Conference (held in conjunction with the annual meeting of SPSP). The Emotion Pre-Conference will take place on Thursday, January 28, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, in the Riviera Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Registration is now open. To register for this event, see:

http://www.emotionpreconference.org/registration.html

Poster abstract submissions are still being accepted for a short time too. See:

http://www.emotionpreconference.org/posters.html

The Emotion Pre-Conference is an annual event where social and personality psychologists can learn about recent trends in affective science, discuss ongoing debates in emotion research, and join a community of like-minded scholars. We will hold two symposia, one each on empathy and emotion in close relationships. We'll also hold two panel discussions, one each on the interaction of culture and evolution in shaping human emotion and on distinguishing emotion reactivity from emotion regulation. For more information, please see:

Cheers,

Nicole Roberts, Michelle Shiota, and Heather Urry
