Announcement for Diversity Fund Undergraduate Registration Award for SPSP 2010

The Society for Personality and Social Psychology has established a fund devoted to increasing diversity within personality and social psychology. As part of this initiative, eligible undergraduate students are invited to apply for an award that will cover the expense of registering for the SPSP 2010 conference. For the 2010 meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, SPSP anticipates making up to 30 awards.

Please encourage your undergraduate students to apply!

Eligibility Requirements

1. Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in psychology
2. Be a member of an underrepresented group in social/personality psychology (these groups are defined as ethnic and racial minorities; first-generation college students; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered students; and students with a physical disability).

Deadline

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the awards have been granted. Applications will not be considered later than *December 1, 2009*. Please note that this deadline is earlier than in previous years.

Decision Process and Notification

SPSP will notify all applicants of the award decisions no later than December 31, 2009. Award winners must accept or decline their award by January 7, 2010. Awards will be made when the recipient registers for the conference.
