The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto, St. George campus, is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-stream Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology. This position is part of the Canada Research Chair program. Social/Personality faculty at the St. George campus include Alison Chasteen, Peter Herman, Penelope Lockwood, Geoff MacDonald, Jordan Peterson, Jason Plaks, and Jennifer Tackett. As well, there are opportunities for collaboration with Social/Personality faculty at the U of Toronto - Scarborough and U of Toronto - Mississauga campuses. The St. George campus is located in the heart of Toronto, with access to a vibrant urban center. Please see the ad below for more details.

Assistant Professor in Social Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Social Psychology to commence July 1, 2010. This position is at the level of assistant professor and is linked to the Canada Research Chair Program.

The successful applicant will be nominated for a Canada Research Chair (Tier II). We invite applications from outstanding academics in all areas of social psychology. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active, externally-funded program of research and be committed to both undergraduate and graduate education.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates must have demonstrated promise of excellence in research and teaching and have earned a PhD or ABD by July 1, 2010. We encourage interested applicants to submit their application online at:
