 Call for Poster Abstracts: 2010 SPSP Emotion Preconference

Dear Social and Personality Psychologists,

Nicole Roberts, Lani Shiota, and I would like to call your attention to the 2010 Emotion Preconference, which will be held in conjunction with the 2010 Meeting of the Society of Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The Emotion Preconference will take place on Thursday, January 28, 2010, in the Riviera Hotel and Casino, and will run from approximately 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The Emotion Preconference, now in its fifth year, is an annual meeting dedicated to cutting edge research and ongoing debates in affective science. This year’s event will feature symposia on empathy and emotion in close relationships. It will also feature two panel discussions, one on the interaction between culture and evolution in shaping human emotion and another on distinguishing emotion reactivity from emotion regulation. Confirmed invited speakers include the following people: Ross Buck, Mary Burleson, Yulia Chentsova-Dutton, Lisa M. Diamond, Hillary Anger Elfenbein, James Gross, Louise C. Hawkley, Joe Henrich, Bill Ickes, Arvid Kappas, Deb Lieberman, Batja Mesquita, David A. Sbarra, Stephanie D. Preston, and more!

The deadline for poster abstract submission is Sunday, November 1, 2009. More information about the conference (including poster abstract submission guidelines) can be found at:
