Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce that the 6th biennial conference on procrastination, Counseling the Procrastinator in Academic Settings, will be held August 4-5, 2009, at York University in Toronto, Canada. The first conference was held in 1999, and now 10 years later we will be gathering back at York to share research and counselling perspectives on procrastination.

This year's theme focuses on the links between procrastination, stress, and mental and physical well-being, as we explore what we know, what we still need to know, and what can be done to improve the well-being of procrastinators in academic settings and elsewhere. Although it is hard to imagine any of our work related to procrastination that doesn’t involve a discussion of well-being, we welcome submissions that focus on other topics related to procrastination.

Please visit the conference website for more information and access to the abstract submission portal:

http://www.uwindsor.ca/procrastination2009

We hope that you will consider joining us for what is sure to be an interesting and stimulating event. If you have any questions about the conference or the on-line abstract submission process, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to seeing you in Toronto.

Best regards,
Fuschia Sirois
